Our 12 mm fireproof magnesium oxide board is made from high-purity MgO bound with magnesium sulfate instead of magnesium chloride, so it does not "sweat" halides or rust fixings. Heavy glass-fibre mesh on both faces adds strength. It is used for fire-rated internal walls in place of wood and gypsum boards.
Magnesium oxide board is used as a fireproof material for the internal walls of buildings.
The board is made from high-purity magnesium oxide, using magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) instead of magnesium chloride. This prevents halogen "sweating" and solves the rust problem of chloride boards.
To increase strength we use heavy glass-fibre mesh on both faces. The board is eco-friendly and healthy, with no asbestos or formaldehyde — an upgraded product that replaces wood boards and gypsum boards.
